Four-point contact ball bearings are radial single-row angular contact ball bearings whose raceways are used to support axial loads acting in two directions. For a given axial load, limited radial loads can also be supported. The bearing is of separate design, that is, the outer ring with ball and cage assembly can be installed separately from the two inner ring half rings.
Four-point contact ball bearings have grooved shoulders on both inner ring halves. Improves oil flow when used in combination with cylindrical roller bearings. In addition, the recessed part can be used for disassembly.
Carrying axial loads in both directions
Compared with double-row bearings, this kind of bearing takes up significantly less axial space.
A larger number of rolling balls are installed in the bearing to give the bearing a higher load-bearing capacity.
The split inner ring allows easy installation and removal of the bearing.
Limited inner ring deformation when subjected to high clamping forces
